ALTEA’S municipal swimming pool has reopened after its forced closure due to damage inflicted in the January storms that battered that part of the Costa Blanca. Repair work included replacing damaged acrylate plates with opaque glass and reinforcing the structure against future storm damage. The slope of the roof has also been altered to allow excess rainwater to run off which was part of the problem in January. They also took advantage of the closure to improve the heating system in such a way as to reduce energy costs. The pool opens from 7.30am to 10pm and you can speak to the reception desk for information about upcoming courses and activities at the facility.
