THE Provincial Court of Alicante has decided not to proceed with a case of reckless criminal negligence concerning a death at Terra Mitica in 2014. They have decided that the death of an 18 year old Icelandic youth was a design flaw rather than the responsibility of any park employee. The ride in question, The Inferno, had been regularly tested and maintained and guidelines in this respect followed. The young man was thrown from the roller coaster ride and though he survived the initial fall he died of a heart attack in an ambulance shortly after.
