THE “Irish Times” has posed the question what sort of property will €375,000 buy you in five very different countries, including Spain.
The paper chose one of the pricier parts of coastal Spain for their search and concluded that you could buy a 180 square metre beachfront house in Estepona (Málaga) complete with swimming pool and gym.
In Turkey’s affluent Kalkan the cash could obtain a similar property while in France you could bag a château in the Atlantic Pyrenees with a pool and 2.5 acres of land plus a large pool.
In the Thai resort of Koh Samui which is very popular with expats, for €375,000 you can acquire a three bedroom property with all mod cons and an infinity pool. Your money wouldn’t go so far in Ireland with the cash being able to get you a four bedroom bungalow in County Cork.
