SPAIN´S BBVA bank has introduced new work-life policies to make sure their employees don´t take their work home with them.
The new policy includes including telling all of its employees in Spain to disconnect from work computers and to avoid answering emails between the hours of 7.00 pm and 8.00 am whenever possible.
The Work Better. Enjoy Life programme, which started last week, is part of the bank´s aim to help employees achieve a more harmonious and productive work-life balance.
As well as encouraging disconnection from digital devices, corporate offices in Spain will no longer be open after 7.00 pm, and there will also be a 45-minute cap on meetings in a bid to increase productivity.
