A BRITISH man, who has already been charged over the disappearance of a Latvian woman from a Costa del Sol nightclub, has been arrested for suspected attempted murder.
36-year-old Craig Porter from Liverpool allegedly stole a car from a group of Spaniards in Estepona before hitting one of them and driving off.
Porter was detained after being intercepted by police while travelling in a speeding car.
He and two other Brits had no identification papers on them, and whilst they were being processed, officers discovered that an arrest warrant had been issued over August’s incident in Estepona.
Porter has also had his passport confiscated since the end of 2014 over his alleged involvement in the disappearance of Agnese Klavina.
The 30-year-old Latvian was last seen in September 2014 at the Aqwa Mist club in Marbella, with prosecutors seeking 12-year jail terms for Porter and Wesley Capper for her kidnapping.
Her body has never been discovered.
