CUSTOMERS using budget carrier Ryanair are set for some late summer misery, as the company faces industrial action on a variety of fronts.
UK-based pilots are to go on strike over pay and conditions next week for two days on August 22nd and August 23rd, followed up by a walkout between September 2nd and September 4th.
Pilots working for Ryanair in Ireland also voted last week to take strike action, though the company claimed that only half of its pilots were union members.
Ryanair´s Spanish staff is also threatening to take industrial action following the recent announcement that the operator is set to close two bases in the Canary Islands and at Girona on the Costa Brava.
Unions have indicated that they will stage protest strikes in Spain next month.
