THE GUARDIA CIVIL is looking for a 20-year-old man who went missing from his Orihuela Costa home on New Year’s Day after an all-night party.
Henry Alejandro left his home on the La Florida urbanisation between 8.00 am and 9.00 on January 1st, after a fight with a housemate.
The last sighting of Henry was on a CCTV camera at a Cabo Roig area bar at 11.42 pm that evening.
The Guardia Civil, Orihuela local police, and Civil Protection volunteers have been leading the search for the Columbian-born man, who has lived in Spain for 13 years.
Up to 100 residents and family friends have also been involved in trying to find Henry, with sniffer dogs and a Guardia helicopter being used.
The search area has gone beyond the Orihuela Costa and is taking in Torrevieja and Pilar de la Horadada.
Henry´s brother Andrés said that his mother and six-year-old sister are devasted at his disappearance and that there was no way that the 20-year-old would vanish of his own accord.
Henry is 1.81 meters tall, has curly hair, and he was wearing was a grey tracksuit and a yellow sweater.
Any sightings can be reported to the police on the 112 emergency number.
