ALCOHOL consumption in Spain has been falling over the last two years, according to a survey by DBK Informa, which says that the drop is largely down to fewer spirit drinkers.

The DBK index suggests that those prices are generally “stagnating, with whiskey, rum, and gin taking the biggest hits amongst consumers.

The market value of alcoholic beverages in Spain saw a decline of two point five per cent in 2019, says DBK, because of the lower consumption and “stagnating prices”.
