A controversial poll has listed the 10 worst places to live in England – and the reasons given are brutal.
Every year the results of the annual survey from iLiveHere.co.uk are revealed and this year it seems things have not changed too much, other than how savage people’s comments were.
For the second year running the title of the worst place to live in the country has been handed to Peterborough.
One comment read: “The atmosphere in Peterborough is draining. You feel totally isolated from the rest of the world and life in general, as though everything else is going on and you’re not part of it as you’re stuck in this dump.”
Doncaster, South Yorkshire, was rated the second-worst place to live, and it should be said that the survey is not based on any official government statistics.
I can think of many stronger candidates than the top two with the Stoke on Trent area looming large in my mind, as well as the Warwickshire town of Rugby that was hell to grow up in decades ago.
